Program Options
All of our patients start out with a comprehensive assessment, including review of past and current medical history, social situation, sleep patterns, and survey of
physical activity habits. After review of this information, one of our Providers will counsel you regarding your diet options, and help you choose a diet approach that
best meets your needs, goals, and desires. This initial diet is a starting point. You and your Provider will collaborate on an ongoing basis to fine tune your diet, so
that you continue to make progress toward your long term goals. Once you achieve your desired weight, this process culminates with the weight maintenance plan, a plan of
action for long term maintenance at your goal weight. Many patients will be suitable candidates for prescription medication to suppress appetite as an aid to diet compliance.
We have several programs, all fully-customizable to fit your needs:
Optifast® Plan
OPTIFAST® is the most rapid, safe method of weight loss available. Developed by Novartis Pharmaceutical, it is available to patients who need to lose weight fast
under direct medical supervision. This option uses pre-packaged, snack-sized meals that eliminate meal planning, shopping and cooking--letting you focus on your busy life.
Quick Start Plan
If you find that counting calories is too much trouble and that you struggle with portion control, but still want to eat table foods at least one meal per day, our Quick Start
Plan is the program for you. Instead of three meals a day, you will eat 5 or 6 snack-sized meals that encourage faster weight loss.
Traditional Plan
On the Traditional Plan, we emphasize nutrition through table foods, physical activity through daily exercise and moderating life style. Patients choosing this option are
willing to commit the time to shopping and meal-planning because they want to eat self-prepared foods.
